Wild Woman Ring your bell

Yeah to the hell with it.

If you want to – make a noise

If you want to – scream out

If you want to – step out and be different

Please just friggin’ do it.

Don’t waste anymore time.

You’ve done enough

Given enough

Cried enough

Worked enough

Compromised enough

Been through enough

All the enoughness is your ticket to the ‘I’ve had enough – and now I want something different.

Step onto the new tour for midlife women.

Check out the crossroads and turning point coming your way soon.

We can get stuck in the ‘oh my goodness what now?’ vibe.

And in all honesty most of us do.

But the sooner we move in to the ‘I’m gonna do this and this and this’ vibe, the quicker we can

embrace the magic, mystery and  mayhem of midlife.

We can get wild and weird with it.

We can select the vehicle and enjoy the ride.

We can plan it in.

We can step up and into this immensely freeing next part of life.

We can let the crazy cat out of the bag.

Get on board.

Get on with whatever it is you/we want to do.

Share the news.

Love dawn

  1. Dear Dawn,

    YES! Enough.

I recently applied for a full-time teaching job (for English as a Second Language at the college level). I did not get an interview for the position, much less get the job (I have high regard for my colleagues … some tough competition).

Here’s part of my email to a friend of mine to tell her the news.

“Definitely hearing the pounding on the door by Opportunity … to continue checking out varied options. I’m not worried about it, though I teared up a bit upon hearing the news.

Life marches on and I’ve got my bagpipes inflated to join in and will STRIDE OUT STRONG!”

Yes, this is an “immensely freeing part of life” we’re moving into as we “embrace the magic, mystery and mayhem of midlife.” I’ll join you on the midlife women’s tour. Let’s get on with it, indeed!

    • Hi Susan
I love that you’ve got your ‘bagpipes inflated’. That right there is a great metaphor.
I have found it interesting too when things, jobs, opportunities that I might have applied for in the past do no come to fruition.
And with the crystal clear lens of hindsight I have seen they were actually not meant to be part of the next stretch.
Love hearing from you. Keep up the march.
Love to you and Your next steps and success.

    • Thanks.
I must confess I find this a bit of a challenge.
I get distracted. And then quickly make a decision to go quickly with what is at hand.
      Love to you
